Cahaba Brewing fills a soaring hall in Birmingham's historic Continental Gin works, where cotton gins were once built by the thousand. Named for the river that supplies the city its water — and its paddling, fishing, and swimming — Cahaba brews for the outdoors: the easy-drinking Cahaba Blonde is the state's unofficial river beer, backed by an American brown, IPAs, and a rotating cast of seasonals. The taproom's sheer scale, games, and food-truck rotation make it one of the metro's most reliable gathering places.
