Cheaha Brewing takes its name from Alabama's highest point, which rises from the Talladega National Forest just south of its Anniston home. The brewpub occupies a handsome brick building in downtown Anniston and pairs a full kitchen with house beers spanning pale ales, porters, and rotating seasonals. It's the natural basecamp pint for the region's outdoor crowd — hikers off the Pinhoti Trail, cyclists off the Chief Ladiga, and race fans from nearby Talladega all end up at the same bar.
