Druid City Brewing brought brewing back to Tuscaloosa in 2012, taking its name from the city's old nickname for its canopy of water oaks. The taproom in the Parkview Center is a beloved local hangout — part dive bar, part art space, with a mural-covered wall and one of the state's best pub-quiz nights — and the beer is honest and sessionable, led by a dependable pale ale and lager lineup. On football Saturdays it fills with crimson; the rest of the year it's the living room of Tuscaloosa's creative side.
